Indonesia Barokah Kerinci

from £17.00

Indonesia produces some great coffee with its stable temperatures, fertile soils and high altitudes.

Most of the country’s coffee is produced by smallholders, this from the active volcanic region of Kerinci on the island of Sumatra.

The anaerobic natural process means oxygen is removed to slow down fermentation to bring out often more complex fruity flavours. This takes 7 days followed by another 21 days of drying before final sorting by hand – all in all a long and labour intensive process to get the best flavour from the bean.

This is a really special full-bodied bean with depth and complexity and is suitable for all brew methods including filter.

Process - Anaerobic Natural

Varieties - Andung Sari, Sigarar Utang

Altitude - 1400-1700m

Kenya has a long history with coffee. Often called the ‘best coffee in the world’ it has a strong following from the specialty market. Its high grown coffees in iron rich, red volcanic soils, temperate climate and proximity to the equator create the perfect growing terroir.

Gatomoboya is located in the famed Nyeri region which produces some of the best coffees in the country.  Its processing facility offers farmers access to credit for school fees, farm inputs and emergencies and its goal is to share information with farmers regarding crop husbandry and other agricultural practices important to coffee.

This high scoring bean is great for filter and suitable for all brew methods.
